2010-2011 Masters of Film Music Performances
This ground-breaking new series brings the music of some of today's top film composers to the Meyerson as part of the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 Dallas Symphony Pops Series, including James Newton Howard, George Fenton, Theodore Shapiro, Michael Giacchino, Harry Gregson-Williams and Sir Anthony Hopkins. The Masters of Film Music will feature a DSO's commissioned world premiere work written by each composer, combined with a multi-media career retrospective with images on a larger-than-life screen. The debut performance of the Masters of Film Music project will be February 25, 2011. Impromptu at the DSO is your ticket to unlimited access to Texas Instruments Classical, DSO Pops Series and Family Series for a one-time low fee. New this year, Impromptu is offering two different membership levels:
Basic Impromptu Membership: $99 one-time membership fee for unlimited Thursday and Friday Grand Tier Classical concerts.
Premium Impromptu Membership: $399 one-time membership fee for unlimited any day, best available seat (Loge excluded), 2010-2011 DSO Texas Instruments Classical, DSO Pops and Family series concerts.
